This book is absolutely fantastic. It’s rare that a medical book seems completely new to me, or opens a new horizon, particularly since in naturopathic medicine I’m usually not “mainstream” to begin with. This one, though, plows through the studies that have been available for decades, but simply pushed aside in favor of a more profitable narrative: that cholesterol drives heart disease. I’ve long suspected that there was something amiss about this story, but Kendrick brings it home–and he does so in an amusing, readable way, while sticking to the scientific literature to back his every claim. Highly recommend.
